Oakland Park, FL - A South Florida OnlyFans user has been arrested for allegedly accessing and viewing child sexual abuse material through the platform.

Police say Christopher Hall Varney reportedly operated an account on the platform named "FTLgloryHole" that contained videos of anonymous sex meetups that could be viewed for $5 per month.

According to an arrest report, investigators began looking into Varney after OnlyFans notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to report child sexual abuse material on his account in May 2021.

While the Sheriff's Office investigation did not focus on Varney's public-facing content, it was reported that his private messages on the website contained child sexual abuse material.

The report detailed Varney's alleged direct message exchanges, which began in September 2020.

The exchange of child sexual abuse material reportedly started after a subscriber asked Varney about his youngest sexual partner.

The report states that Varney then asked the user if he had any videos of "y0ung" - using a "0" instead of an "o" in an attempt to evade detection.

Varney also alluded to having had a 14-year-old boy perform a sex act on him at one point.

At one point, Varney's conversation partner offered to make a video involving a 14 or 15-year-old and then sent Varney eight files of child sexual abuse material depicting boys between the ages of 8 and 16.

The report states that the other man sent the files after asking Varney "you don't mind if they're too y0ung?" Varney replied, verbatim: "you asked if i MIND if theyre too yng. Too yng? whats THAT? lol" and went on to describe his "favorite" image.

Deputies say that while Varney did not send any messages containing child sexual abuse material, he did request and receive them and discussed his attraction to children, "to include the specific sexual abuse a child would endure if left under his care."

When deputies executed a search warrant at Varney's home in May 2022, his OnlyFans account had been closed, but he continued to engage in anonymous sex and post content on other social media applications, including Twitter.

Varney reportedly claimed to have more than 750 subscribers and admitted to receiving child sexual abuse material and talking "with a guy who was into younger kids" but said he "didn't want to make any of his subscribers feel like he was shaming them."

Varney told detectives that he was "not attracted to children" and that it was "all a fantasy."

A search of Varney's digital devices did not reveal any additional child sexual abuse material.

Following the decision to press charges, Varney appeared in Broward County court Thursday, facing three child pornography charges, as well as a charge of distributing material harmful to a minor within 2,500 feet of a school.

The case has been forwarded to the Broward State Attorney's Office for a case filing decision.
