Tampa, FL - A 60-year-old man broke the Guinness World Record for most push-ups done in an hour by completing 3,264 push-ups.
Rob Stirling has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the most push-ups done in an hour, with a total of 3,264 push-ups completed, surpassing his own goal of 3,200.
Stirling had already broken the record unofficially once before, but after months of training, he utilized a strategy of short sets of 12 push-ups, followed by seven seconds of rest to break the record.
Stirling had a system in place to help him count his push-ups, including his son moving quarters for every 12 push-ups and someone making tallies on a board for every set of 12.
Stirling says he's been doing push-ups during his daily workouts and can do about 1,500 in 30 minutes.
After breaking the record, Stirling says he plans to continue breaking records and set his sights on the one-minute world record of 144 push-ups.
