Three Florida Cities Rank In Top 10 Where the Ultra-Rich Own Second Homes

Miami, FL - Three Florida cities topped the list of The Henley and Partner's 2023 wealth report which ranked the Top 10 U.S. towns where centi-millionaires own second homes.

Henley and Partner's 2023 wealth report lists the top 10 US towns where centi-millionaires (those with a wealth of $100 million or more) own second homes, and data collected by global intelligence firm New World Wealth indicates that the number of centi-millionaires living in these towns varies depending on the time of year, with December 2022 showing a significant increase in numbers during the peak holiday season.

Miami, Florida took the top spot on the list, with over 800 centi-millionaires owning homes in the city and on the island of Miami Beach in December 2022.

According to the Henley and Partner's report, Miami has seen a growth rate of 75% in millionaires from 2012 to 2022, and in December 2022, the city was home to 38,000 millionaires, 160 centi-millionaires, and 12 billionaires.

The Hamptons, New York ranked second on the list, with Henley and Partner's report stating that The Hamptons had over 700 centi-millionaire residents during the peak holiday season versus only 25 permanent residents.

West Palm Beach, Florida rounded out the top three, with the city and its surrounding areas including Palm Beach island having over 400 centi-millionaires in December 2022, compared to just 64 residents during the rest of the year.

Other cities on the list include Napa, California; Aspen, Colorado; Santa Barbara and Montecito, California; San Diego, California; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
