Monroe County, FL - A man was arrested after he attacked a woman and bashed her head into a car window and pavement on Wednesday.
According to Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokesman Adam Linhardt, the incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. at Mile Marker 40 on the Overseas Highway, where deputies were called to respond to a report of battery.
Upon arrival, the deputies found a 46-year-old victim who reported that the suspect, Terry Sean Milligan, had been drinking all day before falling asleep in the front passenger seat of their vehicle.
The woman told police she woke Milligan and enraged him while walking her dog.
Milligan then grabbed the victim by the hair and began smashing her head against the windshield and the vehicle's door.
The victim tried to seek help by getting out of the vehicle, but Milligan grabbed her by the hair, causing her to fall.
Milligan then began bashing the victim's head against the pavement.
A witness called 911 and supported the victim's account of the incident.
Milligan was taken into custody on charges of aggravated battery and damage to property.
