An accused human trafficker is locked up in the Miami-Dade County jail on $45,000 bond.
Monriko Clements was booked last night after being extradited to Florida on felony human trafficking and making money off prostitution charges.
Prosecutors telling the judge he has a long criminal history with a non-extraditable warrant from Los Angeles. He's also failed to appear in court to face charges in Georgia and his home state of Maryland.
The judge denied Clements' attorney's request that his client serve house arrest in Maryland.
More details about what the 31-year-old is accused of doing and the rescue of his victim will be released when the Miami-Dade State Attorney holds a press conference later this afternoon.
