Largo, FL - A woman was arrested on Sunday after she hit a man with a 2x4 because "she was not getting enough attention from her friends."
Police arrested 31-year-old Demilyn Daniela Vergara on 66th Street North in Largo around 2 p.m. Sunday.
According to police, Vergara was “upset because she was not getting enough attention from her friends.”
In retaliation, Vergara allegedly swung a 2×4 with an exposed nail at an unidentified man’s head.
Police say Vergara made contract with the man, who suffered an abrasion to his head.
The attack was witnessed by another police officer who read Vergara her rights.
Vergara admitted to police that she swung the 2X4, but denied hitting the man.
Vergara was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on a count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Vergara has multiple battery convictions from previous arrests and was on probation for battery at the time of this incident.
