Martin County Sheriff's investigators have confirmed that a teen was driving a Tesla recklessly when he crashed into a minivan last month.

The crash killed 18-year old George Meyer, who the crash report says was driving in a "careless or negligent manner." Also dead is his passenger, 19-year old Emma Albritton and the elderly couple in the van.

70-year old Thomas Trowbridge and his 73-year old wife Deborah had just left lunch to celebrate their wedding anniversary.

The crash occurred at the intersection of US One and Baker Road in Stuart, where efforts are underway to have a left-turn signal installed.
