Georgia Cop Arrested in Prostitution Sting

UPDATE

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd is detailing what he calls the arrest of a high-profile "john" in a week-long prostitution sting, which he says he expects to outline in more detail later this week. Cartersville Deputy Police Chief Jason DiPrima is free on bond after his arrest on misdemeanor charges of soliciting a prostitute. He's been suspended from his job pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

Judd says DiPrima also engaged with another prostitute during his time in Florida, who told him to buy a $200 cash app card, and take a picture of it so she would know he had the money.

"You're not going to believe this," Judd said. "This guy's a cop, and he was flim-flammed and conned by a prostitute. She took the information off the card, got the $200, and left him high and dry."

"He embarrassed out entire industry with his arrest," Judd said.

"According to all the information we've received, he's got a beautiful wife, a great family, and you just want to go 'Come on, man...!"

We're expecting more information this afternoon from Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd about the county's latest prostitution sting....a week-long investigation into human trafficking.

Reports indicate that a Deputy Police Chief from Cartersville, Georgia, Jason DiPrima, was among those arrested. Deputies say DiPrima was in Orlando attending a polygraph training workshop when he answered an on-line ad from an undercover detective posing as a prostitute.

"Are you available tonight?" DiPrima asked the detective, according to deputies. "I'd like to come see you--what is your rate/"

Detectives say DiPrima gave the undercover officer $180 and a multi-pack of White Claw Hard Seltzer, and was promptly arrested.

The Cartersville PD has been notified of the incident.
