More illegal immigrants have come ashore in South Florida.

A day after two dozen Cuban nationals were taken into U.S. Border Patrol custody after making landfall in Key West, eight migrants of mixed nationalities came ashore on a boat in Lantana on Wednesday morning.

A chief patrol agent says the immigrants came from Haiti, Jamaica, Columbia and Guyana.

They were all taken into custody and investigation is underway.

The Border Patrol says that agents have responded to well over 200 migrant landings in the state since last October.
