Crooks in Florida continue to target car parts that can fetch them a pretty penny due to their precious metals.

Police in Port St. Lucie have arrested two men from Miami after finding them with 13 stolen catalytic converters.

Officers had pulled over an SUV that was driving with its headlights off when they spotted the devices that are targeted because of their precious metals.

Police say 53-year old Gerardo Reygada and 56-year old Pedro Wong were also found with power saws and a ski mask.

Eight of the stolen catalytic converters were sawed off vehicles at a pest control company near where the traffic stop occurred.

This event comes just days after 33 catalytic converters were stolen off Palm Tran buses in West Palm Beach over the weekend. It's not known whether the cases are connected.
