Woman attacks Good Samaritan delivering food to homeless with BB Gun

Monroe County, FL - A woman’s been arrested and charged with aggravated battery for shooting a woman delivering food to the homeless with a BB gun.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s office, 59-year-old Zoe Sparrow was arrested for shooting a woman who entered the woods in the Florida Keys to deliver groceries.

Deputies were dispatched to the 4500 block of the Overseas Highway in Marathon around 10 a.m. regarding a battery.

MCSO spokesperson Adam Linhardt says the victim told deputies she was delivering groceries to homeless people in the woods when she encountered Sparrow who “declined the supplies and asked for drugs.”

The victim told Sparrow she was there to drop off food and water and didn’t have any drugs.

Sparrow reportedly picked up a BB gun and demanded the woman leave.

Linhardt said “when the victim didn't leave, Sparrow shot her three times in the arm and once in the thigh.”

Sparrow was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated battery after admitting to the shooting.
