Sheriff: Florida Man Calls 911, Confesses to Killing Relative

WINTER HAVEN -- Polk deputies say a 21-year-old man shot a family member to death, then called 911 to report it.

Sheriff Grady Judd says dispatchers first got a call from a neighbor Sunday morning who reported the suspect firing a gun and seeing the victim dead in the garage of a Winter Haven home. Judd says the suspect, 21-year-old Kyle Raemisch, then called and admitted shooting 52-year-old Christopher Raemisch to death.

Deputies found the victim lying on the garage floor and a black 9mm Sig Sauer handgun on a shelf, with 14 spent shell casings nearby. They also spotted a garage door and a surfboard with bullet holes.

According to the affidavit. Raemisch told a dispatcher he shot the victim "because of the money", saying he has been held hostage for far too long. When asked how many times he shot the victim, Raemisch allegedly said "too many times."

The elder Raemisch worked as a chiropractor at Ridge Chiropractic Care in Haines City.
