Coral Gables, FL - A volunteer at a South Florida tropical garden has been arrested for filming people in an employee bathroom.
Police say 19-year-old Justin A. Torres, a volunteer at the Fairchild Tropical Gardens in Coral Gables, entered an employee bathroom and "intentionally placed his cellphone in a hidden location across from the toilet with direct view of unsuspecting victims."
The phone recorded both male and female co-workers as they used the bathroom, until an employee found the hidden phone.
When police searched the phone, they found two videos of victims undressing and using the toilet.
Police say several photos of the victims were also on the phone.
Torres was arrested on two counts of video voyeurism and was booked into jail, but later released.
Fairchild Tropical Gardens released a statement regarding Torres' arrest, stating "Fairchild immediately contacted local authorities when it was made aware of this incident, and both Fairchild and the individuals involved have turned this matter over to law enforcement officials."
