Hallandale Beach, FL - A customer had drinks thrown in his face after getting into an argument with a South Florida fast food worker.
The confrontation, captured on video by the customer, shows a Hallandale Beach Burger King employee hurling a drink in the face of a customer who was complaining about a missing beverage from their order.
Around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, a customer was filmed confronting the employee at a Burger King on Hallandale Beach Boulevard.
"If you was missing a Coke you should’ve said when you was sitting here," the employee tells the customer who replied “I told you!"
The employee was filmed throwing the drinks at the customer, identified as Melody Gomez and her boyfriend Elier, after arguing over missing items from their order.
Melody told NBC Miami the employee “proceeded to throw the two drinks inside the car, at full speed, while saying a bunch of stuff. And then after when they got out of the car - I got into the driver's seat, and he saw I had the window down, he looked me in the face and threw a large slushie full speed at my face, hitting me on the side.”
The video also captured the employee in a confrontation with another customer, in which the employee called the customer “an [expletive].”
Burger King said in a statement “we are working with the franchisee to better understand what took place at this location and what steps need to be taken as a result.”
Hallandale Beach Police confirmed they responded to the Burger King but say there's no active investigation and no charges are being pursued.
