Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp make music in 'Elsewhere'

"Top Gun -- Maverick" continues to soar at North America's box offices. The sequel to the 1986 hit film starring Tom Cruise remains the top movie in the U.S. and Canada -- earning 86-million-dollars in its second week of release. "Maverick" has grossed a total of 291-million-dollars domestically to become Cruise's all-time top moneymaker.

Guitar legend Jeff Beck has announced he will be releasing a new album...with Johnny Depp. Beck made the announcement at his concert in England Thursday. This comes just days after Depp won his high profile defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard. Beck said the album will be coming out in July, but didn't give a specific date. Depp has been joining Beck at several concerts across England.

The U.S. Postal Service has released its latest tally of dog attacks...saying dogs attacked more than 58-hundred postal employees across the U.S. during the year 2020. Florida came in eighth among the 50 states with 198 dog attacks on postal employees. The USPS asks that dog owners keep their pups inside the house or behind a fence, away from the door, or on a leash. Starting this Sunday is the agency's National Dog Bite Awareness Week.

Bon Jovi confirmed on Twitter Sunday that Alec John Such died. The former bass player is considered to have been instrumental in inviting Richie Sambora and Tico Torres to join the band. Such left Bon Jovi in 1994, saying at the time he was burnt out. In the tweet, the band said they will remember Such as wild and full of life. There's no word on a cause of death. Alec John Such was 70.

There's a new world basketball record and it's been set by a Hungarian guinea pig named Molly. Molly made four slam dunks on a tiny basketball hoop to set the record and arguably become one of the greatest guinea pigs to play the game. Molly's owner, Emma Muller, is pleased with the record but said it's nowhere near her best performance.
