It's words no parent wants to hear about their kids' school.

"I do not think that the students there would be safe in an active shooter situation."

Shelli Leone is the former director of school operations at a Palm Beach County charter school.

She tells CBS 12 News that the front doors at Franklin Academy don't lock and there's no barricade to stop a car from driving onto the playground on the Palm Beach Gardens campus.

Leone says she wanted to bring attention to some of the issues after the shooting in Texas last week.

The school district says it follows strict safety protocols at public schools, but there's been no confirmation that is the case at Franklin.
