The City of Boca Raton is testing self-driving cars, as the nation's first autonomous vehicle remote control command center will be headquartered there.
It will be run by several technology companies and feature a command center where an operator will monitor vehicles on the road and take over remotely if something goes wrong.
Momentum in the self-driving vehicle industry has picked up in recent years.
The cars are being tested on the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, a 1.7 million square foot office park.
