CDC Says COVID Risk "High" in Tampa Bay

COVID is rising again through Tampa Bay.

The CDC has now designated Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Sarasota counties as high-risk areas for the virus. Those counties each recorded at least 200 infections per 100-thousand residents in the seven-day period that ended May 19th.

CDC guidelines call for those in high-risk areas to wear a mask in public and on public transportation no matter their health status.
