Safety Harbor's Poet Laureate Facing Child Pornography Charges

An associate English professor at St. Leo University, and Poet Laureate for the city of Safety Harbor is now facing child pornography charges.

55-year-old Dr. Steven Kistulentz was arrested at his home on Tuesday, and told Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies that he sent and received images of children performing sexual acts.

In a statement, St. Leo says it has placed Dr. Kistulentz on administrative leave and has suspended any access to the university.

“Upon learning of the charges filed by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Saint Leo University has placed Steve Kistulentz on administrative leave and has suspended his access to the university. He will have no contact with students. We are awaiting further information as this matter is being investigated.“
