Robbers hold employees in freezer at gunpoint, rob Burger King

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - Armed robbers forced employees at a South Florida Burger King into a freezer at gunpoint while they looted the burger joint over the weekend.

According to police, robbers targeted the fast food restaurant on Northeast 17th Terrace and East Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department say the subjects forced the staff into a freezer at gunpoint before stealing cash and driving off.

No injuries were reported.

As of Sunday night, the robbers remain at large.
