South Florida celebrates Earth Day with local beach cleanups. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava is participating in a clean-up and dune planting at Crandon Park. The county is hosting shoreline cleanup events at twenty seven locations along Biscayne Bay to get rid of debris and litter harming the ecosystem. The celebration also includes the official launch of Plastic Free 305, a new program helping local businesses reduce and eliminate their use of single-use plastics to keep waste from getting into our waterways.
