Now that a deal has been reached between MLB and the players union, Spring Training gets started in Florida this weekend when the players start reporting.
The first games will be played next Friday, March 18. Businesses are hoping to cash in.
Ben Abbott manages the Stadium Grill in Jupiter, right across from the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. That's spring training home for both the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals.
"We've been on pins and needles for the past couple of weeks, debating on whether or not they're going to have the games or not. So this is kind of, it's a relief. But then it's also stress because now it's game time."
Spring Training typically has an estimated $70 million economic impact on Palm Beach County, which also has a ballpark in West Palm Beach for the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals.
Fans are also excited, even though there will be far fewer games than usual for Spring Training since Opening Day is April 7th.
Paul Luzzi says he'll be at the ballpark to catch as many games as he can.
"Love it. I didn't think it was going to happen. I was getting discouraged. I'm glad they've worked it out and let's have some baseball."
Luzzi's nine-year old nephew is also excited to catch his favorite team.
"I like hitting so I love hearing the sound of the crack of a bat. Go Cardinals!"
Each team will play about 10 games through March 27.
