Containers and planes are being loaded with $10-million worth of supplies heading to Poland.

"We anticipate literally hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people, fleeing the country in the next few days," says the founder of Doral-based Global Empowerment Mission.

Michael Capponi says the first shipment includes 100,000 hygiene kits, blankets, tents and generators.

"We're going to set up the first base camp out of Poland and the second one will be in Hungary."

Capponi will be personally working with church groups in Poland and the Ukrainian organizations on the way to the border to assist with the mission.

He believes housing will be a major problem with people flooding small cities which aren't able to handle the massive influx.

To help, the GEM is collecting donations for its Ukraine Crisis Fund. Money will go directly to help cover the costs of shipping and other logistics. Thirty to 40 volunteers are also needed daily to help load the $15-million of inventory already at its warehouse.
