TAMPA -- Art and writing from Hillsborough County middle and high school students will be on display during March at the University of Tampa.
The Hillsborough Education Foundation and Hillsborough Public Schools will be displaying winning submissions from March 2nd to 25th at the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery, which is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
231 art pieces and 95 art compositions will receive awards. Of those, about 70 Gold Key winners will be submitted to the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers in New York, for national competitions.
The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is the longest running recognition program for creative teens and the largest source of scholarships for young artists and writers.
