Florida Lawmakers Discussing Sales Tax Holidays

More sales tax holidays and exemptions could be coming for Floridians.

Representative Bobby Payne says the proposal extends this year's back-to-school sales tax holiday from 1 to 2 weeks in July and August and the price points have changed as well.

The disaster prep holiday would expand to two weeks between May and June and a sales tax exemption on children's books is included between May and August.

A new sales tax holiday for skilled trade workers is on the table as well.

The House Appropriations Committee voting in favor of the proposal.
