A homeless Miami-Dade man has been arrested after he offered a 12-year-old girl $20 to have sex with him, then fondled her breast when she declined.
According to Doral Police, 61-year-old Thomas Newsome approached the girl as she was throwing out garbage in a dumpster in Miami-Dade County on Thursday.
Newsome followed the teen, fondled her breast, and then fled.
When the victim saw Newsome lurking in her neighborhood again, her grandmother called the police.
Newsome was arrested by officers shortly after midnight on Saturday. Corrections officers booked him around 3:20 a.m. Saturday morning.
Newsome was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation on a child and lewd and lascivious contact on a child.
He remained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Monday.
