A man was shot and killed while driving on the Palmetto Expressway in Miami-Dade early Thursday morning.
According to Miami-Dade police, the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday when suspects in a vehicle shot a 28-year-old man as he was driving in the eastbound lanes of the expressway near 67th Avenue.
The suspects followed the victim to a gas station on Northwest 167th Street, where they continued opening fire.
Officers responded to the gas station and found the victim inside his car suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.
Footage obtained by CBS Miami showed the victim's black Mercedes parked outside the gas station with its back and side windows shattered.
Police say there’s no information on the suspects or the vehicle they were in.
The 28-year-old victim’s identity has not been released.
No one else was injured in the incident, which remains under investigation
