Rapper arrested on trespassing charges in Pompano Beach

A well-known hip-hop artist who was pardoned by President Trump was arrested on a trespassing charge in Pompano Beach on Saturday.

Rapper Kodak Black was taken into custody by the Broward Sheriff's Office around 1:30AM on Saturday morning near the 1600 block of Northwest 10th Drive.

The rapper, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, posted bond and was released.

Neither his publicist nor attorney were available for comment.

Investigators did not immediately release details about what prompted the arrest.

Black had a three-year federal prison sentence for falsifying documents used to buy weapons at a Miami gun store commuted by President Donald Trump on his last day in office in 2020.

He was sentenced to probation last April for assaulting a teenage girl in a South Carolina hotel room.

Black has sold over 30 million singles and had several multiplatinum and platinum-certified singles.
