Former Arkansas Governor and 2016 Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee spent some time in the Palm Beaches recently, taping the "Mike Huckabee's Christmas in America" special that airs on Newsmax Wednesday night.

He joined us for a conversation about the special and a number of other topics.

Among those topics are Huckabee's most memorable Christmas, which involves a long-awaited guitar. As a young boy, Mike watched The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show and from then on knew he wanted to be "the fifth Beatle."

He asked his parents at the age of 8 for a guitar for Christmas, but was told he would have to settle for something else because they didn't have the money. After three years of this, Huckabee held firm that it would be a guitar or nothing.

He got his guitar and now plays it on his show on TBN and has played with some notable artists like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Willie Nelson and others.

Gov. Huckabee also talks about his daughter, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and her run for his former job in Arkansas. He says he knows that President Trump's one-time White House Press Secretary will be bashed by the media if she wins, but says that she can handle it.

Huckabee also shares his thoughts about his relationship with Trump and whether he believes the former president will run for the White House again in 2024.

"Mike Huckabee's Christmas in America" airs at 9 p.m. on Wednesday night 12/15 on Newsmax.
