TALLAHASSEE -- A statewide computer glitch is slowing down the process of getting a driver's license.
Several county tax collectors have posted that they had to shut down issuance and renewal of driver licenses and ID Cards early, because a statewide computer server broke down Tuesday afternoon.
The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles says this is part of an ongoing series of network outages due to the Florida Digital Service, the state's network host. Problems have plagued various state agencies since Friday.
It's not known when the outage might be resolved.
