A father is in custody charged in the beating death of his 12 year old son in a home in Palm Bay and now the man's girlfriend is also being charged in the boy's death. Police say Jason Godleski called October 22 and reported that his son Noah was dead.
Investigators say there were signs of trauma on the body and he appears to have been dead for a lengthy period of time. Police Chief Nelson Moya says he's disgusted by the case.
"I'm angry and it's hard to wrap your head around how someone, anybody, in charge of the safety and wellbeing of a child, will hurt that child to the point where we take his life and then disgrace his body by not even acknowledging death and leaving him there."
Jason Godleski is in custody charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child and his girlfriend, Samarial Dubose, who is in Connecticut with her three other children, will also be charged in Noah's death.
"What we discovered was horrifying," Chief Moya said. "We found the body of a 12 year old boy with obvious forms of trauma and more disturbingly, he had been there for some time."
Officers say Jason Godleski told them Noah had been alive for several days in the laundry room before dying.
