GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK -- A video blogging couple from Tampa, Florida went through raw footage Sunday and found video that may have been the "needle in the haystack" leading investigators to the site where a body, believed to be Ganny Petito's, was discovered Sunday.
Kyle and Jenn Bethune travel the country with their RV, making videos of their adventures. They were traveling through the Spread Creek camping area of Grand Teton National Park at around 6 p.m. local time on August 27th,looking for a spot to camp for the night. As they were recording, their camera picked up a white van with Florida plates. They said they decided to keep going because the van appeared to be "abandoned." They found the video Saturday after hearing about the Petito story and posted it in their video blog. The Bethunes lost a child named Ethan in a car accident and they felt sharing the information would "pay it forward for Ethan."
Within 24 hours after they released the raw video, the FBI announced that a body matching Petito's description has been found. They haven't said whether the video was a key piece of evidence leading them to the body. Here is a link to the video at the moment the van appears:
