BARTOW -- A couple of Central Florida counties are dealing with a destructive TikTok challenge. It's called "devious licks" and it encourages students to steal and trash school property. In Polk County, Sheriff Grady Judd is promising criminal charges. "We're going to give you an arrest 'lick' if you commit a criminal 'lick'," Judd said.
A 15-year-old student is facing criminal mischief and theft charges after two soap dispensers were torn off the wall in a boys bathroom at Bartow High School. Meantime, education officials in Seminole County are suspending students at several schools over the challenge.
TikTok has dumped videos of the challenge and redirected its hashtag.
