Miami Beach Commissioner Steven Meiner is holding a virtual Town Hall tonight to discuss law and order in South Beach after last month's murder of a 21-year-old dad gunned down while eating on Ocean Drive. Meiner says too often cases are being dropped, he's introducing a bill Friday to appeal dismissals of all arrests. He also wants to see a higher level of police visibility while the Mayor continues trying to implement his 12-point plan to transfer the entertainment district into a safe Art Deco cultural area. Meiner says the violence has disrupted the quality of life for hundreds of residents.
