Fourth Suspect Arrested In Surfside Identity Theft Scam

A fourth suspect is behind bars accused of stealing the identities of 7 of the Surfisde collapse victims. Detectives say 20-year-old Nelson Garcia-Medina used the name of a person killed in the tragedy to buy a $130-dollar pair of sneakers. Garcia-Medina is the brother of one of the three people taken into custody yesterday on several charges related to the scheme. They all face 15-to-30 years if convicted. He was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
