TAMPA -- Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody held a news event in her hometown of Tampa, to push hurricane preparedness, ahead of the Atlantic hurricane season which begins a week from Tuesday (June 1st).
Moody encouraged Floridians who plan to use a public shelter to check locations, as they may have changed due to the pandemic.
The attorney general says her office has produced a hurricane preparedness guide that includes tips on stocking up for a storm, as well as ways to avoid being ripped off by scams or price-gouging.
She is also encouraging people to download the NO SCAM app to their phones to report price-gougers.
