Elections Bill Passes Florida Senate

A bill that would make changes to vote by mail rules has passed through the Florida Senate.

The bill limits the duration of requests for vote-by-mail ballots, restricts who can collect vote-by-mail ballots and when those ballots can be put in drop boxes.

State Senator Joe Gruters says they want insure integrity in the system.

State Senator Audrey Gibson says we should not be impeding people's right to vote.

The legislation now heads to the Florida House.
