Pasco Deputy With Narcan Brings Pulse Back To Overdose Victim

New Port Richey, FL.(Florida News Network)-After the first two doses of Narcan failed to revive the pulse of a man who was turning blue after overdosing in the woods, near New Port Richey, Wednesday. It wasn't until the Pasco Deputy, administered a third dose of Narcan, before the victim's pulse returned. Watch the deputies body- cam video below. Not long after Pasco Fire Rescue placed the victim on a respirator, he was sitting up and conscious.

Every Pasco Deputy carries Narcan to aid in reversing the effects of narcotics overdoses. Like many other calls for service, overdoses are dangerous calls to which deputies respond each and every day.
