Spring Break Crowd Cheers As Handcuffed Man Escapes Clearwater Police Car

Clearwater Beach, Fl.(Florida News Network)- Police have arrested an 18-year-old seen in a viral video running from the back of a police cruiser after a friend opened the door. It happened on Wednesday evening when a fight broke out on Clearwater Beach. Cops handcuffed Dominick Glass and put him in the back of the patrol car. But as the officer walked to the other side of the vehicle, someone in the crowd could be seen opening the back door, which allowed Glass to take off running. Police quickly caught up with him, and Glass now faces more serious charges including escape. Police say they've also arrested the person who opened the car door to allow the escape. Eighteen year old Adam Asad, of Oldsmar is the suspect who helped Glass escape. He faces two charges, aiding prisoner escape and resisting arrest without violence. He bragged he was going to be famous for his actions. Now he's been taken to jail.
