Man Tells Deputies "Voices" Told Him To Run 21 Red Lights & Stop Signs

A Florida man is locked up for running nearly two dozen red lights and stop signs, and authorities say he gave an unusual reason for doing it.

The Indian River County Sheriff's Office says 30-year old Jerard Marqui Ross of Vero Beach told deputies that "voices were telling him" not to stop, while also claiming he didn't pull over because he had a warrant out for his arrest.

The man now faces charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding, as well as driving with a permanently suspended license and resisting arrest.

A deputy started following Ross after he ran the first of 14 stop signs and he continued to violate traffic law, running 7 red lights. He was outside a restaurant in Vero Beach.

Bond was revoked due to an earlier charge of cocaine possession.
