Child Survives Fall From 4th Floor Building In Miami

A two-year-old girl is hospitalized after falling from a fourth-story window early this morning. Miami Police officials said the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. in the area of Southwest 20th Avenue and 8th Street in Little Havana. Miami Fire Rescue officials say it appears a palm tree and some bushes directly below the window broke her fall. The child's uncle was with her at the scene when paramedics arrived and took the girl to Jackson Memorial Hospital to be evaluated.

It's reported that when officers arrived, they found the child alert and conscious. “This is just a miracle. It could’ve easily been something else," Miami Police Commander Freddie Cruz said.
