Tim Tebow Returns To Baseball Next Year, Could Play In Florida Again

A Heisman Trophy winning star Florida quarterback looks to be back in the batter's box next year.

Former University of Florida and NFL quarterback Tim Tebow has been invited back to the New York Mets organization.

Team president Sandy Alderson says Tebow has agreed to return for the 2021 minor league season, though MLB has not said what the season may look like.

The 2020 minor league season was scrapped due to the pandemic.

Tebow was first signed to a minor league contract in 2016 and made it to the Mets' Triple-A team in Syracuse last year, before being sidelined by a hand injury.

He's also played for the team in Port St. Lucie.
