Elections Officials Work To Make Polling Places Safe Amid The Pandemic

Florida elections officials have taken steps to keep voters safe amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link says poll workers are wearing masks, some with shields as well. She says there is plexiglass separating voters from the workers who take their information.

"The secrecy sleeves have been laminated so that we can be sure that we're wiping them down. We'll also be wiping down the actual polling booth after each voter uses it, so that you're going to go up and have a very clean environment to vote in."

Link is asking voters to wear face masks when they're inside their precincts.

The polls are open statewide until 7 p.m. and voters should have a photo-signature I.D.
