Palm Beach County Superintendent Answers Questions About Schools Reopening

Palm Beach County Schools Superintendent Dr. Donald Fennoy took to Facebook Live Thursday night to answer the public’s questions, ahead of the reopening of campuses on Monday.

The Q and A session came one day after the president of the teachers union asked the board to terminate Fennoy's contract, but was turned down.

The questions asked included those about how masks will be used on campus.

"In our policies, masks will be worn at all times, even outside."

Fennoy was joined by Chief Operating Officer Wanda Paul, who said that buses will be sanitized between routes.

"In terms of children riding the bus, they'll be spaced out appropriately."

They said school schedules will stay the same, as much as possible, while moving from all virtual classes to simultaneous virtual and in-person instruction.

Fennoy continues to insist that schools are prepared to safely welcome back students and teachers.

"We're gonna make it work and if something slips, we're going to fix it. That's my mindset."
