Screening won't be expanded for Chinese virus at Florida's busiest airport.

The CDC will expand screening for a Chinese flu virus at U.S. airports, but not at Florida's busiest airport. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority says they continue to monitor the situation, but there are no direct flights from China to Orlando International Airport.

At least 17 people have died from the coronavirus in China and one person has been hospitalized in the U.S. near Seattle.

Meanwhile, passenger traffic at OIA is really taking off. New numbers show total traffic was up 3.4% in November, just shy of 4.2-million passengers.

International travel saw a slight decrease for the month, which could be blamed on the bankruptcy of European tour operator Thomas Cook.

2019 was the first year Orlando handled more than 50-million passengers.
