There's an uptick in flu cases at local schools.
The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County has been monitoring the flu at Palm Beach County public schools and says there have been five influenza-like illness outbreaks since October, and a total of eight since the school year began.
The health department has a surveillance system in place that monitors trends of diseases and flu like illnesses at schools.
