Accused Mar-a-Lago Trespasser In Court, Judge Sets Trial Date

US-POLITICS-TRUMP

A Chinese woman accused of trespassing at President Trump's Palm Beach estate will go on trial next month.

A federal judge on Tuesday set the date of September 3rd for the start of Yujing Zhang's jury trial, in which 33-year old Zhang is expected to represent herself.

She has turned down the judge's offer to reinstate court-appointed defense attorneys.

She's charged with lying to federal agents and sneaking into Mar-a-Lago back in March and was found carrying a thumb drive with malware, four cell phones and two Chinese passports.

Among the items found during a search of her hotel room was a device that detects hidden cameras.
