A mysterious illness appears to be affecting panthers and bobcats in Sarasota County.
The FWC announced yesterday it's investigating what's causing so many big cats to be sick throughout the Gulf coast, including Lee and Collier and at least one in Charlotte county.
An expert in St. Petersburg tells the Tampa Bay Times some possible causes have been ruled out, but no definitive cause has been found.
