Broward League of Cities' Task Force Updates Initial Report Post Parkland

The day before the school bell rings in Broward, the Broward League of Cities' Task Force is updating progress made on its initial report last year outlining more than 100 safety improvements.During the initial news conference last June, Max Schachter called for better protection outside the schools with higher fences and inside, with locked doors and bullet-resistant glass. The report also called for metal detectors in every school, adding more mental health counselors and reviewing the district's PROMISE program. The news confence is being held at 11:30 this morning at Sunrise City Hall.
