Dengue Fever Confirmed In Miami-Dade County

There's a public health concern in Miami-Dade County.

The county health department announced yesterday that someone has come down with dengue fever.

This is the second reported locally acquired case of dengue fever in Florida this year, the first case was in March.

Health officials are worried the disease could spread, and residents are advised to remove stagnant water and use mosquito repellent.

Symptoms include fever, headache, vomiting, joint pain and rashes.
